Demystifying Employability

Botho University (BU) is a leading private tertiary education provider operating in Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Namibia. With over 5,000 students, BU offers accredited, industry-aligned qualifications and online programs. In partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), BU has significantly enhanced its employability practices and data-driven strategies. Vitae’s 360° Assessment  was pivotal in this process, highlighting BU’s progress in developing employment strategies and identifying areas for further growth.

Establishing an Institutional Benchmark

An integral first step in assessment is institutional benchmarking. This step, allowed BU to evaluate how far the institution had come in developing an employment strategy independently. With Vitae, BU gained access to this data in addition to global networks and focused strategies designed to expedite the digitization of career services and existing initiatives.
