Vitae is a program that helps universities and colleges adopt strategies and practices that align with market dynamics. The ambition is to foster sound employability standards in emerging markets and to improve student outcomes.

Aimed at higher education professionals, the Vitae network shares proven techniques to support institutions to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. Vitae also delivers peer-to-peer advisory services directly to higher education institutions. Our advisory program shares the collective experience of the International Finance Corporation and its senior education specialists, who have appraised education institutions across the world. Alltogether, Vitae has benchmarked over 200+ institutions and 2.5 Million students from various countries.

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is the largest multilateral investor in private education in emerging markets. IFC provides investments and advisory services to support higher education. Since 2006, IFC has invested over $2.3 billion and has a current portfolio of $663 million, mainly in tertiary education. Since 2019, IFC has supported institutions across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean through Vitae advisory services.
